August, 2014 was the premiere of a new medium: projections, with the debut of “Light Murals” for JumpstART 2014, using exterior buildings in downtown Riverhead, NY as her canvas. Her work has been collected by the Erie Art Museum, Erie, PA and has been selected for national juried photography exhibits including The Long Island Biennial, The Heckscher Museum of Art, Huntington, NY; The Art of Photography 2013 Show, Art Institute of San Diego, CA; Ambient Light, MPLS Photo Center, Minneapolis, MN; PHOTOcentric 2013, Garrison, NY; All New England, Cape Cod Artists Association, MA; The Gallery at WREN, Bethlehem, NH and The Long Island Museum, Stony Brook, NY. Her works are part of the Houston Museum of Fine Art slide lecture on Contemporary Photography. She is a 2011 recipient of a New York Foundation of the Arts Strategic Opportunity Stipend. She holds an M.F.A. in fine art photography from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI and enjoyed a 12-year tenure as editor of Networking magazine, a women’s business monthly.

(I work at a glacial pace.) who lives in Danville, VT. I saw and love your work at Wren last fall – and would like to know the dimensions of your “standard size” black mat pieces (2″ width to the frame -or more?…and what size print? I’m in the throes of wanting to go big- Rothko -canvas with no frame to small prints in frames..and in between. I will gladly show you a few samples of my “stone water abstracts” if you like. Thank you, Andrew. I appreciate that you saw the WREN show and that you loved my work. I received a grant to produce a prior show so I used the frames again. I have my prints made by a fine art lab. Because these are digital photographic images, full frame and uncropped for vista-like landscapes, the digital image ratio of 2:3 requires that I choose print sizes that correspond. That’s why I have three sizes, all long rectangles rather than the squarer proportions of 11×14. The canvas pieces without frames were 20×30″. The larger framed pieces were 12×18″ + 2″ matting all around = 16×22″ frame size. The smaller prints were 8×12″ + 2″ matting all around = 12×16″ frame size. “Myth of a Happy Life” which was in the Art of Photography Show 2013 at the Art Institute of San Diego required museum-quality printing and framing so I had it made by a lab in Los Angeles serving museums and high end galleries. There is nothing like seeing your work as a print. Everything becomes obvious. It raises the bar with each new body of work. WREN is outstanding and close enough to Vermont to visit. Thank you for the specific info on print and frame sizes. Would you be willing to tell me the name of your fine art lab – particularly the lab that does the canvas prints with the precise black border?
My wife, Paula, and I are both members of Wren -have been for awhile. She is a professional water color artist and had a solo show there about a year ago – so we know Wren well. Are you showing any of your work in New England this Spring or summer? Thanks again!
